Remarkable Mining Concern has an outstanding position open for (AA) Mine Engineer. Only South African citizens, who are suitably qualified
and meet the requirements of the position, are eligible to apply for this vacancy.
The successful Mine Engineer will be responsible for coordinating mining activities, maintenance scheduling for all equipment, short/long
term mine planning, scheduling and design. This incumbent will be responsible for supervision of staff and feasibility studies, mining
contract development and mine operation management.
Requirements:
•Grade 12 / Standard 10 certificate
•BSc Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
•Government certificate of competency GCC (mines and works)
•Understanding of applicable legislative requirements
•A minimum of 6 years management experience in a coal mining operations
•Must have experience in opencast mining operations and services
•Working knowledge and experience of Processing Plants
•Proven track record in Mine Planning and Scheduling
•Must have excellent People Management and Team Development experience
•Ensure Legislative Compliance in aspects of mining operations
•Contractor management experience
•Ensure availability, reliability and performance of mine assets
•Conduct research aimed at improving efficiency and safety in the mine
•Ability to work under pressure and take initiative
•Has to have a Strong personality to manage staff effectively
•Has to be target driven to ensure all Deadlines are completed on time
•Must be an organised individual to ensure all duties run according to company standard
•Strong communicator (verbally and written)
•Able to handle a lot of pressure
The candidate must reside in the Bronkhorstspruit area or be willing to relocate.
